Reverend Annette Jones-Walker accepted Christ at an early age. She received her calling into the ministry in 1984. She was an active member of the St. Rose African Methodist Episcopal Church and she was an active member of the St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church. Annette served in various capacities, during her Christian walk. She was a pastor, choir director, a youth minister, and even shared the stage with the legendary Shirley Cesar, as a professional gospel singer.

Annette was a dedicated educator in the Gadsden County School System where she served for over 20 years. She received her Master’s degree in Psychology in 2014. She touched many lives through both of her ministries.

Above all of her accomplishments, her greatest love was serving the Lord!

Her Beloved Children: Dalgren Hairston, Sr., Reverend Vaughtrail Hairston, Latoya Hairston and Evangelist Tunisia Hairston

Her Grandchildren: Ayla Hairston, Dalgren Hairston, Jr., Trajon Hairston, Chockere Hairston and Cahmiya Torrence

Her Great-grandson: Ka’Deen Simmons

Her Daughters-in-law: Tamara Hairston and Camille Hairston

Her Sisters: Charity Marlowe, Artie McLeroy and Lerther Yhap

Her Brothers: Edward Jones, Jr. and Charlie Jones

Her Aunts: Pearlie M. Bouie and Marine Askiew

Her God-daughter: Melanie Wiggins

She also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends whom will all dearly miss her presence.
