Wilbert Washington, 75, of Havana, died on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. He was a native of Gadsden county and was a member of Old Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. The service will be at 11:00am, Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Gadsden High School, Quincy, FL with burial at Memory Gardens in Tallahassee, FL. Services have been entrusted to BRADWELL MORTUARY. Family will receive friends for viewing from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, Friday, February 2, 2018 at Bradwell Mortuary.
Mr. Washington is survived by his wife, Mary A. Washington; children, Shaila D. Washington (Henry Patterson), Terrence K. Washington, both of Havana, FL, and Maurice (Yontina) Wilson of West Melbourne, FL; siblings, Emily Nelson, Beulah (Rev. Leroy) Banks, and Ohdee (Carrie) Washington, all of Cleveland, OH; mother-in-law, Dorothy Andrews of Havana, FL; sister-in-laws, Kathy Washington of Cleveland, OH, and Carolyn Henry of Havana, FL; brother-in-laws, Nathan Andrews of Havana, FL, Nathaniel Andrews of St. Petersburg, FL, and Oscar (Debbie) Robinson of Hendersonville, NC; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grand child, and a host of other loving relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to the Wilbert “Babe” Washington Scholarship Fund
